BLUNDER! ZOTAC forgot how to operate a computer!

At TechFault we pride ourselves on our ability to publish real, factual articles. Our goal is to provide digestable articles that can be understood by the average American. Woke chicken, CPUs not RAMing, and Laden-thons are what TechFault is all about.

Today, TechFault CEO Chet Fault has given us permission to publish an article which is more technical.

It is standard in the computer hardware industry to have what are called “security practices.” These practices generally prevent “oopsies and uh-ohs” from occuring. It is rare that a company fails to comply to these practices.

ZOTAC Technology Limited, has failed to provide customers security at the most basic level.

ZOTAC, a near billion dollar company, left over 20,000 customer invoices open to the public web.

Names, phone numbers, addresses, partial card numbers, and more.

All available to download in a single click.

Thankfully, whoever forgot to change the file permissions remembered how to use a computer and right-clicked the folder called “sensitive customer data” and marked it as “not public.”

I guess you could say they made a TechFault-y decision!
